I am an outdoorsman who is on the mission to spend as much time as possible out of doors. My favorite outdoor pass times are Camping, Backpacking, Canoeing, Whitewater Canoeing, foraging, hiking, Fly Fishing and Gardening.
As far as my living/home life. I am into the tiny living movement and live in a 1966 Airstream with my dog Emma Faye. This way of life is by conscious choice and decision with the end result of purchasing a small scale farm in the Southern Appalachian Mountains.
My career is in the restaurant business. I am a Chef that has dedicated my career to the art of preserving food and cooking with live fire out of doors. My style of food is old school southern, soul and Appalachian Mountain cooking. Mostly concentrating on Salt Curing Meat, Pickling, Jarring, Jams, Jelly, Dutch oven/black pot and BBQ. Not sure if you can call it work if you receive money in exchange for what you love doing while being outdoors but I do.
However, I do have other hobbies and interest. To be honest I am kind of a nerd who spends countless hours studying nature, food, farming, bee hiving, Southern/Appalachian history and culture. I am also into PMA (positive mental attitude) and meditation.
