Let's have some fun! :) I'm kind, friendly, and easygoing.... I love many outdoor activities, especially swimming, biking, camping, cross-country skiing. Adore being near or in the water; I think I was a fish in a former life! I love being silly. Enjoy exploring out of the way restaurants, used bookstores or antique shops. listening to live music. I also like slowing things down...slipping on a little dress to go out on the town... being a woman....with all that entails!

I grew up in college/working class towns in Iowa and Michigan, with a professor dad and a 1st grade teacher mom. That interesting mix of influences has definitely made me who I am. I spent most of my childhood playing with my brothers and a big crowd of neighborhood kids; that rough and tumble definitely made me more resilient.

I'm a documentary filmmaker and activist; I enjoy doing my small part to help this crazy world of ours! Enjoy following and talking politics. I played piano as a kid and love to sing. I meditate regularly and began doing yoga a few years back; makes me feel great.

I love being a mom to my 15-year-old daughter, who is strong, smart and wonderfully creative soul. She definitely keeps me on my toes! We enjoy the beach, cooking together and generally goofing around. It would be great to meet someone who also has kids or enjoys hanging out with them.

I've been blessed by several wonderful, passionate long-term loves, and have learned a lot from each one. And I'll confess....I'm a bit of a rebel :) which is why I never felt the need to get married even when I was madly in love (!) I've done a lot of work to understand my internal self, and am seeking a partner who has a similar self-understanding. I love to have fun in a relationship, but also understand that a healthy relationship takes attention and nurturing.
