Outdoor dweller year round since 2007. I've bicycled across the US twice and from Amsterdam to Bodrum, Turkey once. I live in a very beautiful spot in Goleta, CA. I visit my family's farm in Tennessee once a year at least for about four weeks, and I camp out there too. I sleep in a hammock--it's better for my back, and while I've tried and still have good camping mattresses, unless we manage two-person hammock sleeping, I probably won't stay the whole night on the ground with my partner. I have plenty of extra hammock gear. I like to go to the Sierra for a month or more each year, but as long as it is sunny I'm happy to stay near the coast too. I've spent 7 weeks along the PCT, and also walked New Mexico and Arizona of the CDT, and spent one winter along the Israel trail among other adventures. I like to read the New Yorker and books. I love to swim and listen to audiobooks. Unfortunately i have fungus growing on many of my toenails and one pointer finger. But aside from that I look pretty good and fit. I don't drink alcohol or coffee. I tend to overeat and dumpster dive local health food stores for free food to do that with. On hiking trips in the woods I do cook though. I like to go to bed early and get up early. I often get home early by 2pm and eat and get in my hammock and read until dark. The mornings I dumpster dive and swim and do other exercises (gregorek's happy body program for the last few months).
I guess my way of being would have to sound or already be known to be a way she'd like as well.
I used to think my girlfriend's sexiness wasn't as important as intellect, but desire does matter--
I'm actually not sure how compatible I am with relationships in general. I'm nice enough, but I like to do what I want to do.
As long as we're both happy doing our own things separately and a few things together, unless we're traveling together, I think life together can work.
Tennis is a date I like. Going to campus events, especially if they start around 2, I like.
It would be wonderful to be able to talk about what we read--
Possibly we can go sailing together.
Eating in restaurants though is not my idea of fun--I'd rather treat you to airfare or trainfare to or from one of our trips then pay to eat in a restaurant.
I also hope you'll be a nice person, someone who is generally loving and open as opposed to closed and hateful. It would be great if you knew some other languages and wanted to visit other countries, although I seem to be happy to stay where I am these days near the campus pool--I'm not sure how much more wandering I'll be doing.
